“Voters who voted center-right in the European elections in Cagliari and me as mayor? It’s not something that embarrasses me at all. In fact, I consider it a positive element.” Thus the mayor of Cagliari, Massimo Zeddawho spoke today on “L’Attimo Fuggente” hosted by Luca Telese and Giuliano Guida Bardi on Giornale Radio FM.
“While maintaining attachment to left-wing roots, in administering I do not use the cudgel of ideology but work for the good of the people” declared the newly re-elected mayor. “If the very wide field Is this the path for the future of the center-left? Yes, if we want to face the challenge of the future national government it is essential to take a path together, also with Renzi and Calenda”.
Zedda also focuses on the airport issue. “Cagliari airport has reached 5 million passengers, so action must be taken immediately public investments which also have an important element of changing the value of the airport. Without public investments, we risk nullifying the potential for growth, even with the best air continuity that we don’t yet have. President Todde is working precisely in this direction by evaluating all aspects concerning the airport. Must restore participation of representatives of public institutions in the Sogaer Board of Directors, as happens for large state companies which have control over strategic assets. The mayors of Cagliari and Elmas in his time were sent away by the Board of Directors, completely taking away the maximum public expression, that is, of the Municipalities and their representatives”.
