Twelve winners who come from five Sicilian provinces
They come from five Sicilian provinces, they are teachers, school managers, professionals in the education of children, they are the magnificent twelve of the “Ciccio Raffa and Graziella Ingafu’ 2024”, the coveted regional recognition for the teacher whose ceremony will be held Saturday 15 June, at 8.30 pm, at the “Vittoria Colonna” municipal theater in Vittoria.
The organization is entrusted to the Barocco and surroundings association. Artistic director Antonello La Mattina. Presents Tiziana Bellassai. Patronage, support and coaching by the Municipality of Vittoria and numerous clubs and associations.
“Not a prize, the “Ciccio Raffa and Graziella Ingafu’”. Not a family “saga”. -explains Giuseppe Raffa, son of Ciccio and creator of this recognition now in its eighth edition- Nobody wins or loses at the “Ciccio Raffa e Graziella Ingafu”. Indeed, the role of the teacher educator does not prevail, which for one day a year, thanks to the organizing committee and the friends mentioned above, rises to just, correct, great importance. A delicate, difficult role that has been mistreated for too long, that of the teacher. This will not be the case on Saturday 15 June, when the teaching role will rightly return to the center of the regional educational debate. At least once a year. This, this alone is the spirit, the objective of the regional recognition “Ciccio Raffa”. I don’t know. Vittoria, my city, too often at the center of controversy and negative news, will be the extraordinary, unique and exceptional showcase”
