Merlotta winery, new line of wines

More than 60 years of history and a new line of wines. Merlotta, a winery from Imola, is celebrating to present the Tridente label. From the Tridente Bianco Albana docg Secco 2022 from late harvests, obtained from the assembly of the three vintages 2022, 2021 and 2020, to the Sangiovese doc Superiore Riserva 2021. Without forgetting the Tridente Metodo Classico obtained from the Albana vine 36 months zero dosage. A new course that advances for the Minzolini family with respect for tradition, quality, passion, excellence and the strong sense of belonging to the territory. The idea behind the project’s genesis is clear: the three wines, which stand out for their exclusivity, prestige and elegance, are also a journey back to the origins of the winery itself. In recent months, in fact, historical, artistic and mythological research has been carried out starting from those sea dragons that have long characterized the Merlotta brand. Yes, it all begins with an ancient fresco in the master hall of the family’s private residence. A room still embellished today with paintings capable of fascinating experts and visitors. Art critics, in fact, trace the dragons and tridents to the marine processions linked to Neptune, divinity of the waters, in a revival in the agricultural context necessary to invoke the prosperity of the vineyards. Thus the Tridènte line, identified by its recognizable umbrella brand, is inextricably linked to the evolution of a mythological trend that has marked millennia of myths and legends. And the choice to combine the Merlotta brand with ancient symbolism is synonymous with the desire to further elevate a production already recognized and certified as being of the highest quality. The novelty will be inaugurated with a major presentation event, with entry by invitation, at the Merlotta headquarters on Saturday afternoon, from 4pm to midnight.
