The moment of the key meeting is approaching, the one that would be scheduled for next Monday or Tuesday in Bologna between the mayor Daniele Silvetti and the leaders of US Ancona through the lawyer Stefano Giangrande of Milan.
The date of 17-18 June had been proposed by the lawyer Giangrande himself to Silvetti after the mayor’s ultimatum, but the problem is that as of yesterday no confirmation of the meeting had reached the mayor of Ancona, neither on the date nor on the place: “To date I have not received any official communication – says Daniele Silvetti –, if they sent it tonight (yesterday, ed.) I cannot know, because this morning the Municipality was closed, we will check on Monday morning, but at the moment there is no confirmation of the appointment. If I don’t have any directions on Monday, I’ll go my own way.”
It is a Daniele Silvetti irritated, once again, by the behavior of the president Tony Tiong who in recent days seemed to have entrusted the power of attorney to the lawyer Giangrande to speak with the mayor, to clarify the debt situation of the company Us Ancona, a situation which the mayor already knows in brief, but which he is waiting to verify. Not alone, given that one or two councilors would also be present at the meeting.
But without confirmation the conditional is a must and the distrust towards Tiong and his intentions grows hour after hour.
On the other side of the table there would also be Roberta Nocelli, who has given her availability to be present at the meeting, but who does not appear to know anything about the appointment either. It would be yet another mockery of Mr. Tiong, the one who made proclamations about Serie B and Serie A in January, only to then not give the OK for the purchase of Finotto, or the one who in the days preceding June 4th and 5th last – dates that will remain etched in the memory of the red and white fans for a long time – he paid into Ancona’s accounts the amount necessary to cover registration and guarantee, only to then not pay even a single euro of the amount intended for salaries and, therefore, essential to complete the registration for the next championship.
If there is no meeting in Bologna, Silvetti will continue on his way: a couple of interlocutors interested in Ancona remain to be met, but the most interesting proposal could remain the one resulting from the third meeting, in chronological order, that is, the one which would have placed before the mayor a group of entrepreneurs from outside the region but with some connections to the Ancona area.
