Fiore and Maloku: the green line of Arezzo

by Luca Amorosi

AREZZO

Reinforce each department with at least a couple of valuable pawns. This is the objective of the Amaranth sporting director Aniello Cutolo in the summer transfer market, which will open its doors on July 1st but where work is already underway in secret. The current squad is already substantial, but between players who have already said goodbye, those who could do so shortly and others about to end their careers, it is clear that the staff will be thinned and new arrivals will be needed. Among the exits we can list that of the young goalkeeper Ermini, who will go on loan to gain experience, of the full-backs Coccia, Donati and Renzi who have returned to their respective clubs, of the central defender Masetti, who will not be included in the list until he has fully recovered from the injury to the cruciate ligament, and of the midfielders Mawuli (who also returned to Sudtirol at the end of the annual loan), Foglia and Castiglia. The latter two could both decide to hang up their boots and start a management career, perhaps still in amaranth.

To this scenario must be added those players who return to Arezzo after going on loan in the winter transfer market but who are not guaranteed to remain in Amaranth: the full-backs Zona and Poggesi and the striker Iori. It is therefore clear that at least one addition in goal, two or three in defence, the same number in midfield and at least one central striker and a high-quality attacking winger will be necessary. Just under a dozen new players to raise the bar even in reality. Starting from the attack, in the last few hours the names of an Arezzo man and a former Amaranth have been mentioned: Giacomo Parigi from Arzignano and Alessandro Polidori, out of contract (and fresh from relegation to D) with Virtus Francavilla. Both rumors, however, have not found confirmation from the Amaranth technical area, which in that specific role is certainly looking for a more famous name, but above all a more highly reliable one even if the evaluation of under profiles such as that of Francesco cannot be ruled out Iuliano, born in 2004, fresh from a good season in the Eccellenza Campania championship with Audax Cervinara even if for now they are rumors. Among those who could join the group that will leave for training camp in just over a month there are also the defender Maloku and the midfielder Fiore, who have returned from Aglianese and Fc Romana, but both the defense and the midfield will require further interventions. Cutolo will first of all try to bring at least Coccia from Modena and Mawuli from Sudtirol back to amaranth, then he will identify the most functional identikits from the market.
