Tourism, Ravenna promotes itself with a web series (and a new site on the city of mosaics)

In line with the strengthening of the communication strategy to strengthen the tourist identity of the city, Ravenna chooses to describe itself with the formula of web series: 10 video episodes to promote the city through the eyes of five girls of different nationalities and cultures, who for study reasons have chosen this area as a space for professional and human growth. «Five stories that meet in Ravenna – explain the Municipality -, a place of inspiration and cultural attraction, where history, art, nature and innovation intertwine, offering a unique life experience».

The five protagonists travel 10 exploratory itineraries (two for each), immersing yourself in the urban fabric, interacting with the environment and people and thus discovering the beauties of the city and its surroundings, with a single objective: to tell Ravenna through its “textures”, its surfaces, from the cobblestones of the streets of the center to the details of the mosaics. And like in a mosaic, through the 10 episodes, the impressions, visions and stories of the girls give shape to the image of the city.

The episodes, lasting approximately 4 minutes eachwill be published every fortnight on the YouTube channel of Ravenna Tourism and on the Turismo.ra.it website, from 12 June to 30 October. The web series will also be promoted on social channels and supported by a digital campaign on the Google and Meta platforms.

The series is produced by the Municipality of Ravenna, with the coordination of the Tourism Service, the creative direction of Studiowiki – a communications agency belonging to Una-Aziende della Comunicazione Unite – and created by Artescienza directed by Samuele Wurtz.

«Our degree course – he declared Professor Annalisa Furia, coordinator of the international master’s degree course in International Cooperation on Human Rights and Intercultural Heritage of the Department of Cultural Heritage – welcomed with pleasure the request for collaboration from the Tourism Service of the Municipality of Ravenna, which gave our students the opportunity to appreciate even more the heritage of the city in which they chose to study and , on the other hand, to make themselves known to their fellow Ravenna citizens. I-Contact is in fact an international degree course that every year attracts girls and boys from all over the world who meet in Ravenna to continue their education. Their gaze on the city, as well as their initiatives and their requests, certainly offer all of us a stimulus and an invitation to (re)think about ourselves in a new and unexpected way and I think it is very important that the Municipality’s Tourism Service wanted to give space, voice and visibility to their point of view.”
