Savona. Until this morning, Luca Calcagno seemed to be Savona’s betrothed coach to succeed Roberto Biffi. In the last few hours, however, the balance seems to lean towards Fabrizio Monte. What is certain is that there was a lot of indecision within the club given that the Savona managers considered both candidates to be worthy.
Former coach of Vadese, Monte has never hidden his love for the blue and white colors with which he had an important past which he still keeps in his heart. In recent seasons the coach from Savona has achieved salvation twice with Bragnoincluding taking over the race for the first time, achieving a real feat.
Last season Mountain he initially took a break but then accepted the call from the company Vadese. The coach at the helm of the azzurrogranata has restored determination, character and tone to a team ferried from the bottom of the table to a memorable fourth place which earned the club its first historic participation in the playoffs of the First Category championship.
