Thereis a new mayor in Massa Lombarda. Stefano Sangiorgi, candidate of the centre-left, obtained 58% of the votes (2,537), winning 11 seats in the city council. Behind him is Giovanni Tozzola, from the La piazza Insieme list, with 32.60% (1,426) and four seats in the council. Antonella Brini of Vivi Massa Lombarda also joins the council and wins a single seat with 9.40% of the votes (411).
«It’s a great emotion – the first words of the newly elected mayor -. First of all, I must thank all the people who have accompanied me in these months because they have been intense. It will be an adventure that will remain in my heart forever… Apart from the euphoria, now we really need to roll up our sleeves and start working, I hope first of all that there is constant support and collaboration with the minorities in which I believe very much because by collaborating you can really do even better for our country.” The priorities? «Definitely hydraulic safety, our public heritage, greenery, the environment without forgetting waste collection».
