Luigi Guerriero, 62, fought between life and death. He was seriously burned and died after the combine harvester he was working on caught fire.

He was working on one harvester, when the agricultural vehicle caught fire, he was seriously burned and died in hospital. Yet another iaccident at work in the province of Latina, where Luigi Guerrieri died at the age of sixty-two. The episode dates back to last Saturday 22 June, along Via Appia in the municipality of Cisterna di Latina.
The vehicle caught fire
According to what has been reconstructed so far, Luigi was driving the combine harvester and was working in the fields, when suddenly, for reasons unknown and still under investigation, the agricultural vehicle caught fire. The worker was seriously injured and required urgent medical attention. The alarm was raised by a colleague who noticed what was happening and gave him first aid. When the call arrived to the Single Emergency Number 112 with the urgent request of healthcare personnel on site, the paramedics arrived with the air ambulance. Luigi’s health conditions immediately appeared desperate, he flew to the emergency room and was hospitalized, he died on Sunday 24 June.
Yet another death at work
The news was given by the Cra – Agricoltori traditi group: “Luigi Guerriero dies one day after the terrible accident. The combine harvester suddenly catches fire. Rescued by a colleague and immediately taken to hospital, Giggi didn’t make it” . Firefighters and civil protection volunteers were present on site. Luigi Guerriero’s death is yet another death at work after that of Satnam Singh and Valerio Salvatore, who lost his life at the age of 30 after falling from an asbestos roofing in Campoleone.
