Municipal elections, new mayors in the province

The L’Eco di Bergamo website will follow the European and administrative elections of these days step by step. A marathon that has already begun with the online dossier «Elections 2024», the podcasts and the interactive map of the province which presents all the mayoral candidates and the lists: a map that will also be updated with the real-time electoral count. Also online are all the useful information on the vote, updated news also on L’Eco’s Ig and Fb social networks (@ecodibergamo).

On the site, from 2pm on Monday 10 June, an information portal will be online which will provide the counting data. Ample space for the results of the European elections and the candidates from Bergamo, on the home page also the live broadcast of Bergamo TV (from 4pm), as well as on Ig and Facebook information carousels with the faces of the new mayors, video interviews and photos. Election day today also for Bergamo TV. The city broadcaster will follow the administrative vote with a live broadcast that will start at 3.30 pm. In the studio with Max Pavan Franco Cattaneo, columnist for L’Eco di Bergamo. Connections are planned from Palazzo Frizzoni, where the press room will be set up, and from the electoral committees, managed by Paola Abrate, Simona Befani and Massimo Sonzogni. Updates will arrive during the special «Bergamo TG» appointment also from the main locations in the province. The live broadcast will end at 6.50pm and resume at 7.30pm, the canonical time of the evening edition of the news. Bergamo TV is received on digital terrestrial channel 15.

With the polls closing, 46 mayoral candidates are just waiting for the “official” announcement of the election. They are the aspiring first citizens of the Municipalities in which only one list has been presented. Once the threshold of the first quorum (40% of voters) has been passed, for the election they only wait for at least half of the votes to be valid.

In addition to the municipality of Bergamo and the large municipalities with over 15 thousand inhabitants (Seriate, Romano, Albino and Dalmine) and the single-list countries There are around a hundred towns in our province called to vote.
