It was presented at a press conference on Trapani Film Festival, the Film Festival which starts tonight, June 20th and which will close the doors of the second edition Sunday 23. The event is the result of collaboration between Italy and America, thanks to 3 Points Productions and artistic directors Francesco Torre and Michael Carlo Allen and sees the patronage of the Municipality of Trapani led by the mayor Giacomo Tranchida. There is a lot of anticipation for the films in competition and for the great guests who will be present. In particular, today we start with an evening entirely dedicated to students, thanks also to a collaboration with the University of Palermo. June 20th will be the evening dedicated to schools and the University of Palermo with young and fresh cinematographic productions thanks to the collaboration with the headquarters of the University of Trapani. From 21st to 23rd June many guests will grace the stage and a godmother, Ester Pantaleo, face of the TV series Màkari also in the cast of Paolo Genovese’s TV series ‘The Lions of Sicily’. These are the official guests of the second edition: Domenico Centamore (Màkari, The Skein), Raffaele Vannoli (August holidays, The smell of the night, etc.), Vincenzo Crivello (The Boss of Bosses, Sicilian Ghost Story, etc.), Expired Orio (The mafia only kills in summer, Baarìa, etc.), Chiara Vinci (Story of a respectable family, Moments of negligible happiness, etc.), Alessio Piazza (The Young Montalbano, Baarìa, etc.), Fabrizio Ferracane (The Bad Guy, Ladies’ Paradise, etc.), last year’s winners Matranga & Minafò (Ciurè, Gli Atattassati, etc.), Beatrice Fazi (A doctor in the family, I’ll tell you the truth about love, etc.), Angela Curri (Braccialetti Rossi 2, Artemisia Gentileschi, etc.), Michele La Ginestra (Immaturi, Long live Italy, etc.), Manuela Ventura (Primadonna, Rocco Chinnici, etc.) and many other interventions. These are the prizes: Best Feature Film, Best Short Film, Best Documentary over 30′ and Best Documentary under 30′. There will also be special prizes that the Municipality of Trapani will award to the most deserving artistic works.
