TRIESTE The Trieste Fire Brigade command was overwhelmed by calls from citizens: around 11am, 25 interventions had already been carried out, with around thirty requests still to be processed.
These are the effects of the strong storm that hit the city from 8 to 10.30 on Monday 10 June, quickly flooding the streets of the city centre.
Five operational teams plus a vehicle with two officials also verified the requests reported as deferrable by the Single Emergency Number.
The guard officer also went to the premises of the city court to verify infiltrations.

The downpour that hit the city in the morning created inconvenience for those who were on the streets at the time, and not only.
Along the banks, in Piazza Verdi, via Mazzini, in the center and in the Teresiano village, the streets soon transformed into rivers of water. Pedestrians, merchants and shopkeepers are also in difficulty.
The water level then gradually dropped after the rain stopped.
