Fiorentina has already calculated Genoa’s possible resistance to Retegui. The Viola club doesn’t give up and is ready to insist on the attacker
There Genoa’s economic resistance to keep Mateo Retegui among the untransferable players had been taken into account: it’s part of the game of parties and it didn’t surprise Fiorentina, who however will continue to press the Italian-Argentine striker as long as possible, backed by an offer (twenty million) which they know cannot be ignored at least. It is the first point of a rich agenda that Viola Park have prepared with a series of meetings day after day for the week that has just begun, between the sports director Daniele Pradè and the technician Raffaele Palladinowith the general manager Ferrari (and soon also the new technical director Roberto Goretti), president Commisso’s total contact in America: a clear and tangible sign of the desire to speed up the process to achieve some concrete results.
Retegui won’t be the first, barring sensational surges that seem to definitely be ruled out, because the negotiation for a footballer involved from Saturday in an event of absolute importance such as the European Nations Championship necessarily follows the event itself: before and even during it, distractions and elements that could shift the concentration from what matters. But Fiorentina moved well in advance, making an effort for the Italian centre-forward: with serious intentions, with serious proposals, and they will still remain at the top of the list of things to do from today onwards.
