The picture is not complete, the upcoming elections rightly demand the spotlight, but we are more than beginning to glimpse what a summer in Lower Romagna will be like, with the programming of events in Lugo, Bagnacavallo and Massa Lombarda.

LUGO
The main municipality of Lower Romagna will spend a very musical summer, with news, reconfirmations and moves. A completely new program is that of the Giardino Laboratorio del Gusto, in front of the Tondo, which presents an exhibition dedicated to the stars of the 80s. On June 13th the Martinelli duo will perform, followed on July 4th by the unforgettable Tracy Spencer and closing on July 18th with Lenny Zakatek of the Alan Parsons Project.
The Lugo Music Festival then started at dawn on Friday 7th, a now historic and itinerant event that has chosen the classical music of Federico Mecozzi under the wing of Baracca to undertake a journey across the territory that includes the young Arsenyco on 10th June in the Collegiata , Crazy Mozarts’ laugh-out-loud classic on the 12th at Tondo, Kelly Joyce’s jazz at sunset in the fields of via Gesuita Ponente on June 14th, the Puccini opera gala on the 19th in Santa Maria in Fabriago, Franco Morrone’s acoustic fingerstyle guitar on the 21st at the sanctuary of Passogatto, the Mediterranean melodies of the Sinafi Trio on the 23rd at Angelo Vintage Palace, the folk of the Swedish Woodlands at the Terrestra farm in Sant’Agata sul Santerno, to close on the 27th with the homage to Piazzolla of Itaka Trio at Villa Ortolani in Voltana.
The Lugo Summer Live program has also been defined, which will be held in Parco del Lago, in the Crai area of ​​via Piratello on summer Fridays and Saturdays. We start on June 21st with the return of Sonia Davis, continuing on the 22nd with the Bon Scott Experience’s tribute to Ac/Dc. Bad Guy’s Blues Band returns on July 5th, Enrico Fucili’s tribute to Lucio Dalla on the 6th. The August concerts start on the 2nd with Magic Queen, followed on the 3rd by the Battiato Celebration Ensemble Orchestra, on the 23rd by the Jersey Devil Band’s tribute to Springsteen, on the 24th by Salvo Mauceri’s tribute to De Andrè, with the grand finale of «Lugstock Live for Peace”, jam session with proceeds donated to Emergency, on 31 August.
Already well-known but of great attraction are the Lugo concerts of the Ravenna Festival, at the Pavaglione with Colapesce and Dimartino on 28 June, the Kula Shaker on the 29th and John De Leo in a Jazzabilly version with Enrico Rava and Rita Marcotulli on the 30th, a Lugocontemporanea event, which will continue on July 1st with Moro & the Silent Revolution and on July 2nd with Maura Gancitano, Andrea Colamedici and Silvia Valtieri’s trio. Jazz-world atmospheres, then, on July 4th at the Carmine cloister with Carmen Souza’s trio, the only event in the province of the Ater “Mundus 2024” festival. On Thursday 27 June, the Saxofollia quartet will play again at the Carmine with Fabrizio Bosso, for Crossroads. Speaking of Arena del Carmine, the cinema will return from the second half of June. As for Wednesdays under the stars, they will take place in July: the 3rd, 10th, 24th and 31st of the month, with markets from Via Baracca to Corso Garibaldi, exhibitions and shows under the wing of Baracca, games for children in Largo Repubblica, readings in Piazza Savonarola, sports associations in Piazzale Cavour, games, yoga and music at the Pavaglione.

BAGNACAVALLO
The focus is above all on Tuesdays in June and the “Festival” in August in Bagnacavallo for the summer entertainment, which starts on 11 June with the “On Tuesday” events, organized by the “Bagnacavallo fa Centro” business network. Concerts, markets, games and entertainment, sports, street food and open shops will fill the center on Tuesday 11, 18 and 25 June. Piazza della Libertà will host three major concerts: on June 11th the Moka Club, on Tuesday 18th Fede Poggipollini, guitarist of Ligabue, and on Tuesday 25th the Cicci Bagnoli Quartet. Piazza del Carmine will host the Pro Loco with the Tiberina Goose Game (11 June), the Lidio magic show (18 June) and the Nicolas Show (25 June). At the Suffragio church, photography takes center stage with the exhibition of the Bagnacavallese Cine Foto Amatori Club.
The cloister of the convent of San Francesco will be the scene, on Sunday 16 June, of a jazz concert by Crossroads, with the trio of Fabrizio Bosso (trumpet), with Lorenzo Tucci (drums) and Daniele Sorrentino (double bass), before becoming the center of events of the Bagnacavallo Festival in August. There will be five shows: the Rossana Casale quintet will propose a jazz concert dedicated to the color blue on August 6th, while on the 8th the harpist Vincenzo Zitello will bring his music without borders. On August 22nd the duo of Silvio Zalambani and Federico Lechner will enchant the audience with original Latin American atmospheres and on the 27th the actresses of the Teatro Due Mondi in Faenza will offer a touching prose show dedicated to women. Ambrogio Sparagna’s trio will close the festival on August 30th, for an exciting journey into Italian popular music. Mario Maginot Mazzotti’s «Walks with stories» include «The events and ornaments of two churches» on August 9th, «The buildings of local power» on Tuesday 20th and «The “river” of Bagnacavallo» on Wednesday 28th. LOMBARD MASSA
Every Friday Massa Lombarda will be animated by the “Feste del Mercato 2024” markets, including open shops, music and sport: on 14 June DJ-set in Piazza Matteotti, on the 21st the “Città dello Sport”, on the 28th “Dance and Dance » and gathering of the 500, on July 5th the «City of girls and boys», on the 12th «Expo Tuning» and on August 23rd the unmissable Buco Incavato festival, with the Santa Balera orchestra. Among the initiatives, noteworthy are the 12 hours of non-stop football on 23 June at the San Paolo oratory, «Fruges in Festa» from 28 to 30 June, while the Pargher festival will warm up the engines from 2 to 4 August. The Piazza organizes the «Agricoltura Domani» event on July 20th at the former cocciodromo, on August 17th Avis will bring the White Herons to Piazza Matteotti, the Festival of Recovery will be held between September 7th and 15th 2024, with the 48th Palio del Timone on Sunday 8th, on Thursdays in July afternoon readings will be organized in the garden of the Venturini center and the cinema will also return, with «Arena in Massa» from 6th July to 18th August: 40 evenings at the fruit growing museum.
On July 29th the Folklore Festival will return to Piazza Matteotti with groups from Benin, Venezuela and Taiwan, while on August 7th the Piccolo Festival della Narrazione will host Cristiano Godano of Marlene Kuntz with his new book at the wash house, on August 10th the concert at dawn of the Ariane Akite Duo and Jonathan Zenti’s live podcast on August 21st.
The Sfogline festival will return from 29 August to 4 September, while on 6 September, at the Fruit Growing Museum, the Saxophone Quartet will perform for the Emilia Romagna Festival. To close the events, the Art Biennial of the Umberto Folli school will return, from 28 September to 12 October.
