At 12pm on Sunday 9 June, in the 368 seats in the province of Arezzo, 29.56% voted for the European elections, which is close to the regional average, which is 30.86%. In the capital municipality, 24.30% voted in the 97 seats. Caprese Michelangelo continues to have the lowest figure, with 14.22%, Pratovecchio Stia the highest with 42.19%. In Montevarchi turnout at 25.86%, Cortona at 34.92%, San Giovanni Valdarno 36.29%
Attendance at 11pm on Saturday 8 June. In the 368 seats in the province of Arezzo, 17.66% voted for the European elections, below the regional figure which is 18.77%. In the capital municipality, 14.28% voted. Caprese Michelangelo has the lowest figure, with 5.43%, Chitignano the highest with 27.92%. In Montevarchi turnout at 15.63%, Cortona at 20.83%, San Giovanni Valdarno 22.62%
The mayor of Arezzo, around 6.45 pm, voted in section 33, in the premises of the E. Tenti athletics stadium, via di Castelsecco 8/E. The polling stations are open today, Saturday, from 3pm to 11pm and tomorrow, Sunday, from 7am to 11pm. In the entire province of Arezzo there are 267,592 eligible voters
51.2 million citizens are called to the polls to choose the 76 Italian representatives in the European Parliament (ours is the third largest nation, after Germany and France, out of the total of 720 MEPs). Voting is also taking place in the other countries of the Union: the Netherlands opened the dance on Thursday 6th. The members of the European Parliament elected in the 27 EU countries are 720, fewer than in the past due to Brexit but a slight increase compared to 2019 when there were 705. They are divided on the basis of two criteria: population of each state and minimum level of representation. They range from 6 in Malta, Cyprus and Luxembourg to 96 in Germany, followed by France, 81, and Italy, 76.

For the European Parliament 12 lists and 180 candidates, including four from Arezzo. The mayor of Arezzo Alessandro Ghinelli on the list of Forza Italia – Noi Moderati; Sergio DeCaprio, known as Capitano Ultimo, candidate with “Libertà” by Cateno De Luca; the Casentino Francesco Cappelletticandidate of “United States of Europe” (Italia Viva and +Europa, LibDem, Psi, Radicali and L’ItaliaC’è); Luciano Spigliantini in the “Action” list.
The numbers in the province of Arezzo
Those entitled to vote in the province of Arezzo are 267,592, of which 130,283 men and 137,309 women. There are 368 sections in the province of Arezzo and 48 special seats.
Arezzo people (and not only) voting: the numbers
There will be 75,780 people from Arezzo, of which 36,281 males and 39,499 females, voting on Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th June. In Arezzo we will vote exclusively for the European Parliament and therefore only one ballot will be delivered. Compared to the last round, the 2022 policies, there was an increase of 2,244 achieved thanks to 1,302 males and 942 females who have become adults in the meantime.
We must then add the community residents in Arezzo who have asked a specific question to vote for the Italian representatives in the European Parliament: there are 188 in total of which 35 males and 153 females.
The youngest voters, 3, turn 18 precisely in the ninetieth minute, or rather in recovery: although they become adults on Sunday, they will in fact also be able to vote on Saturday, practically at 17 years and 364 days. The oldest voter is 110 years old. In quantitative terms, the largest section is section 8 at the former Cadorna barracks, with 1,288 voters of which 615 males and 673 females, which returns to the top after being overtaken in 2022 by section 92. at the elementary school in via Benedetto Croce. To find the least numerous one, as per tradition, it is necessary to go up to Santa Maria alla Rassinata: it is number 85 with 57 voters, of which 29 males and 28 females.
Times and days
Polling stations will be open from 3pm to 11pm on Saturdays and from 7am to 11pm on Sundays. Italians residing in Arezzo, citizens and citizens of the European Union residing in Arezzo and already registered or who have submitted a request for registration in the expected electoral list added by March 11th will be able to go there.

Regarding the latter, the recommendation is to check its validity before the days in question, or if it has been lost, in order to go to the One Stop Shop to issue a duplicate. From Friday to Sunday, during the times specified in the link above, an appointment will not be necessary.
