Today’s edition of Tuttosport focuses on the day’s negotiations in Serie B.
In the frenetic game of the Serie B transfer market, it is the attackers who are the talk of the town, capturing the attention of the fans and dominating the front pages. Cremonese, with the new leadership of the Stroppa-Giacchetta duo, is among the favorites to move up in category, which they missed in the playoff final against Venezia. Massimo Coda, who scored 17 goals in 39 games, will not be redeemed by Genoa and could return to Salernitana, where he already played from 2015 to 2017 with 31 goals in 80 games.
Federico Bonazzoli, after 3 goals in 24 games with Verona, will return to Salerno, but could be sold to Cremonese, thus getting closer to his hometown, Ghedi. Brescia, if they don’t buy Borrelli from Frosinone, will look for one or two attackers on the market. Among the options is the return of Ernesto Torregrossa, who scored 12 goals and made 11 assists in the promotion year (2018-19), but who had a disappointing season in Pisa with only 2 goals in 18 games.
Christian Gytkiaer, known for his promotions with Monza and Venezia, will remain with the lagoon players also in Serie A after scoring 12 goals in 42 games. Pedro Mendes of Ascoli, with 11 goals in 27 games, is in great demand, but the club’s uncertain situation blocks any movement. Gennaro Tutino, with 20 goals in 35 games, will probably leave Serie B: Cosenza will buy him out for 2.4 million euros and then resell him in Serie A, with Genoa among the main interested parties.
Daniele Verde (7 goals in 29 games) and Mirko Antonucci (2 goals in 32 games between Spezia and Cosenza) are other names of interest. Verde could be bought for 600,000 euros, but his 900,000 euro salary could scare away interested teams. Antonucci, purchased by Spezia for 2.2 million euros from Cittadella, could be sold to earn back that sum. Cittadella is already moving, making the arrival of defender Edoardo Masciangelo from Benevento official.
