Here is the new local public transport service in Ragusa

For the next two years, pending the European tender which will also be based on the improvements introduced, the public transport service in Ragusa will be totally renewed with Etna Trasporti.

There has been an increase in the number of lines, now 13, and the number of kilometers covered, which will exceed 600,000 from 440,000 per year. Also expected the increase in frequency with trips becoming 170 per day.

Through a QR code on the new stop signage, it will be possible to directly monitor the route of the vehicle and how long it is until it arrives.

All buses are geolocalized, the ticket office is online (on shop.bigosolutions.it/ragusaon the Municipality website and on the Etna transport website), and there is the new RagusaBus app which will show the nearest stop and alternative mobility services.

The info point will be at the Zama terminus.

The vehicles have also been renewed, smaller for the Center but also roomy for Donnafugata and Marina di Ragusa; all equipped with a platform for people with disabilities.

Connections to and from Ibla will start on 17 June (around 90 trips per day) which will replace the HyBus shuttles; the urban service on the 24th; on July 1st the new lines to and from Donnafugata and inside Marina di Ragusa.

How much will it cost? €1.20 for a 60-minute ticket; €0.50 for the journey to Ibla, €2.90 for Donnafugata. And then day passes, season tickets, discounted carnets, 3 or 7 day tickets.
