The 2024 Aqueduct Cycle Route is in bookstores

The new revised and updated edition of the guide dedicated to the Apulian Aqueduct cycle route, edited by Roberto Guido, is in the Ediciclo editore bookstore. Over 500 kilometres, from Irpinia to Salento, passing through Vulture, Alta Murgia and Valle d’Itria, a perfect itinerary also for gravel bikes.

Don’t expect the classic cycle path. The cycle exploration of the Apulian Aqueduct is an adventure journey to discover places full of history and charm. You never lose your bearings, but you increase the pleasure of pedaling, discovering something new every time.

Following the historical conduct of the Apulian Aqueduct, built between 1906 and 1939, a “narrative itinerary” is developed, which brings together the history and nature of Southern Italy, the charm of the places with the work of man . Between Campania, Basilicata and Puglia you cycle on secondary roads and dirt paths, touching true jewels of industrial archaeology, but also extraordinary natural environments. From Caposele to Santa Maria di Leuca is a succession of emotions, in nine stages, which culminate in the triumphal arrival in front of the Monumental Waterfall, in the heart of the Mediterranean.

The stages:

· Caposele – Calitri

· Calitri – Atella

· Atella – Palazzo San Gervasio

· Palazzo San Gervasio – Castel del Monte

· Castel del Monte – Cassano delle Murge

· Cassano delle Murge – Locorotondo

· Locorotondo – Manduria

· Manduria – Nardò

· Nardò – Santa Maria di Leuca
