There will be 43,653 Civitavecchia citizens eligible to vote to choose the mayor and city councilors as well as the new European parliamentarians; polling stations open from 3pm on Saturday
Civitavecchia goes to the vote for the European elections, in addition to the round for the election of the mayor and the renewal of the city council. Voting takes place from 3pm on Saturday to 11pm on Sunday.
Those entitled to vote in the city registered for the European elections are 42,486, of which 20,261 males and 22,225 females.
Those entitled to vote in the Municipal Elections are 43,653 of which 20,859 males and 22,794 females.
The people of Civitavecchia will have to choose Ernesto Tedesco’s successor as mayor of the port city.
There are six competitors: Enzo D’Antò, Roberta Galletta, Massimiliano Grasso, Vittorio Petrelli, Marco Piendibene and Paolo Poletti.
Over 440 councilor candidates.
The municipality’s demographic services office will always remain open during voting operations, both Saturday and Sunday from 7am to 11pm to issue cards, duplicates or other information.
On Sunday evening, as soon as the polls close, the counting of the European elections will begin, then we will move on to the municipal elections.
In the event of a (probable) run-off, voting will take place again on Sunday 23 June.
