From July 2nd to 7th, theAbruzzo will be the beating heart of theASI Tricolore Circuit with two major events: theAbruzzo Gran Tour and the Avezzano circuit. ABRUZZO GRAND TOUR AND AVEZZANO CIRCUIT WITH MAFRA
The Abruzzo Gran Tour and the Avezzano Circuit will take place on the same weekend, with itineraries that will intersect to offer enthusiasts an unforgettable experience. These events, reserved for historic cars built up to 1972focus on exemplars pre-war, Sport boats and spiderscarefully selected by the organizers.
In this week of competitions and passion, Mafra confirms his commitment to preserve and promote the world of vintage cars, helping to make Abruzzo the perfect stage for these mechanical marvels.
MAFRA’S PARTICIPATION
Mafra will participate all’Abruzzo Gran Tour with an exceptional crew: Francesco Di FlorioHead of Marketing & Communication di Mafra, and Enrico Di Mauroa well-known influencer for his Bruce Garage, which tells the story of historic cars with videos and posts on social media. The car chosen to represent Mafra is a Fiat 124 Abarth Rally del 1973a historic rally icon in perfect condition, restored to its original splendor thanks to Mafra products.
The Fiat 124 Abarth Rally, produced between 1972 and 1975 in just over a thousand specimens, is a car derived from the 124 Sport Spider. Equipped with a 1,800 twin cam 4-cylinder engine with 128 HP, stands out for its fixed hard roof and matt black fiberglass bonnets, which help keep the weight down to 945 kg. This engineering gem won over numerous European and Italian titlesas well as winning the World Rally of Portugal.

THE WEEKEND PROGRAM
The tour will start on 2nd of July with a visit to Claudio’s tunnels in Avezzano. In the following days, participants will cross iconic places of Abruzzo such as Fonte Cerreto, the Campo Imperatore plain, and Guardiagruele, one of the most beautiful villages in Italy. There will be no shortage of moments of relaxation and dinners in suggestive locations such as the Costa dei Trabocchi.
Il July 5ththe return to Avezzano will mark the meeting between the participants of the Abruzzo Gran Tour and the Avezzano Circuit.
Il July 6the cars will face various trophies and cultural visitsculminating with the second historical re-enactment of the Marsica motorcycle circuit.
The event will end on July 7 in Avezzano with the awards and a final brunch.
