A new water interruption has been announced by Acqualatina for Thursday, July 4 in six municipalities of the Pontine province. In fact, for the afternoon, “important interventions on 6 kilometers of the supply pipeline coming from the Sardellane Power Plant” have been scheduled, in which 3 teams will be involved and will work in parallel.

“The works – explains the company – are part of the broader plan for the modernization of the networks and the reduction of losses underway throughout the Ato4 territory, with an improvement of the service for over 250,000 inhabitants of Latina, Sezze, Pontinia, Sabaudia, San Felice Circeo and Terracina”.

These are the municipalities where there will therefore be a water interruption, “in order to guarantee the safe execution of the works”; an interruption that will begin at 2 pm with the restoration of the service expected everywhere during the night hours.

The municipalities and areas affected

The disruption will affect the following areas:
– Latina: entire municipality except Latina Scalo, Borgo Bainsizza, Borgo Sabotino, Borgo Montello, Le Ferriere, Borgo S. Maria, Borgo Carso and Borgo Podgora;
– Pontinia: entire municipality;
– Sabaudia: entire municipality;
– San Felice Circeo: entire municipality except the historic center, via del Sole and via del Faro;
– Sezze: via Migliara 46 and connected side streets;
Terracina – Locality San Vito, Colle La Guardia I and II, Via Mediana Vecchia, Via San Felice Circeo.

The tankers

As per usual practice, a replacement service by tankers is planned. Here is where they will be positioned:
– Latina – Piazza A. Celli (near the ASL car park) and Largo Cavalli (Q5 area);
– Pontinia: Kennedy square;
– San Felice Circeo: Piazza IV Ottobre (Borgo Montenero), Via Sabaudia (near the commercial square) and Piazza Italo Gemini (near the pine forest);
– Sabaudia: Town Hall square.

The new conduct

“To deal with the obsolescence of the current pipeline and frequent breakdowns – Acqualatina concludes -, the new supply pipeline is being built alongside the current one. The work, already underway, will ensure a clear improvement in service and the possibility of carrying out interventions without service interruptions. The work will be carried out with an investment of over 18 million euros, co-financed between the tariff and the Pnrr.
