“99 doctors turn to the Mayor once again, but the answers do not arrive”

The petition addressed by the doctors of Andria to the First town went from 64 to 99 signatures collected. On this point, Andria’s doctors make a new request to the civic administration.

“The doctors addressed a request to the Mayor for the protection of public health in relation to electromagnetic pollution and the Mayor publicly responded that “there remains a great deal of attention on the topic, as well as the reiterated willingness to listen and meet all citizens on topics so sensitive and decisive for a dignified quality of life.”

Unfortunately, however, the answers to the requests of citizens and doctors have not yet arrived. For simplicity, we reiterate here the various questions that remain open and we hope that precise and operational indications can be provided.

It asks:

1) The administration intends to promote a moratorium on new repeater installations, including the one in via Scipione, while waiting for the area to be monitored, given compliance with the principle of caution and the perception of risk faced by the population exposed to electromagnetic fields ?

2) Does the administration intend to force managers to distribute new installations in accordance with the municipal location plan?

3) Does the administration agree that the telephone repeaters already installed should be relocated, i.e. removed from schools and kindergartens, oratories and other sensitive places?

4) Does the administration intend to start continuously monitoring electromagnetic fields, as signed in a protocol proposed by the volunteers of an association and which has been disregarded for two years?

5) Does the administration intend to terminate the cooperation protocol with a telephone operator which envisages, among other things, the completion of the 5G network in the Andria area?

6) Does the administration decide to refuse, a choice made in other Italian civic communities, that in our city the exposure limits be raised from 6V/m to 15V/m as imposed by the central government?

Here, by answering these simple questions, we are certain that doctors can feel listened to and respected in their free determination to sign, in science and conscience, a petition to the first health guarantor in the city, to the Mayor.

We inform you that the number of doctors who signed the petition went from 64 to 99. And other doctors are joining, fully sharing the need to regulate the wave of repeaters who, as confirmed by the ISDE doctors, are the harbingers of damage to the health of citizens. Go on”.
