There is a professional aspect that binds you daily to the work on the pitch and to the objective to be achieved week after week, to get the points and reach safety. The big surprise, however, is the type of welcome I was given, the type of warmth and affection that all the people I met in these 3 months in Salento felt like giving me.
These are not obvious steps, in football we often find ourselves facing complicated and difficult situations, even from a territorial point of view and instead my experience was characterized by great affection, warmth and joy.
Long-term career with Lecce?
Yes, it seems that there are prerequisites for following a virtuous path, but they are prerequisites that we keep in our ideal because we then know perfectly well that it is the field that speaks, the results.
In managing the path of clubs fighting for salvation you often find yourself in complicated moments, navigating difficult waters… I hope that these assumptions do not fail in the first difficulties that will necessarily arise.

He’s a good player, a real center forward. He manages to be effective in the penalty area and in the last twenty meters, he feels the goal a lot, but he still has a sense of the game and links the game with his teammates. If I had to explain it to a layman I would say that he can play easily, both as a first striker and as a second striker.
He knows and understands football, he experienced his first high-level championship ever and it seems to me he has good room for growth. He has the football plasticity to adapt to different situations with relative ease.
