Antonio Amodio is the new sporting director of Crotone
We just had to wait for the official announcement, which arrived on Friday 7 May.
The Crotone has chosen Antonio Amodio as sporting director. The former Giugliano has signed a two-year contract. The company itself made this known through a press release.
After an excellent season played with the Giugliano, the company with which he won the Serie C playoffs, Antonio Amodio is now ready for a new adventure, Group C will always host him.
Born in Torre del Greco on 5 April 1987, he began his career as a sports manager in Spal, as scouting manager for the Centre-South. He later took on the role of sporting director of Sorrento, before moving to the Santa Maria Sports Club. After these parentheses he joined Giugliano for two seasons. Below is the press release.

Antonio Amodio will be the new sporting director of Crotone. The company itself made this known through a press release: “The Crotone Football Club announces that it has entrusted the role of sporting director to Antonio Amodio. Born in Torre del Greco on 5 April 1987, he began his career as a sports manager at Spal, as scouting manager for the Centre-South.
He later took on the role of sporting director of Sorrento, before moving to the Santa Maria Sports Club. In the last two seasons he was the sporting director of Giugliano Calcio, contributing to the Campania club’s historic participation in the Serie C playoffs. A warm welcome and best wishes for good work to Antonio Amodio, who joins the club on a two-year agreement“.
In Serie B, Amodio chose Crotone
In recent days sporting director Amodio had been sought by other clubs, above all Cosenza but also Juve Stabia (in case of farewell with Matteo Lovisa). But he preferred to keep his word to the Vrenna family.
His arrival is the result of the excellent work done in Giugliano in recent years and that the Vrenna family, first and foremost Raffaele Junior, have decided to focus on him for the construction of the new Crotone to come. An important choice for the club which has decided to lay the foundations for the next season to redeem itself from the one that has just ended.
