The municipal sea department of the municipality of Catania announces that the works have been completed at the equipped spaces of the seafront and public beaches of the Playa, to guarantee all citizens free access to the sea, guaranteeing functionality and safety for sunbathers . The first to open, last May 30th, was the free beach n.3 “Stromboli”, already frequented by many citizens who are appreciating the services offered: from showers to lifeguards, from the bar to play areas for adults and children . From Saturday 8 June the n. 2 “Vulcano” and n. 3 “Etna”, which will open to the public tomorrow, earlier than in previous years.
On the cliff front on the seafront, the solarium in Piazza Sciascia, under Piazza Europa, will also open tomorrow morning, which has been enlarged by almost 300 square meters compared to the past and will be able to accommodate a greater number of people. Finally, the opening of the long-awaited Ognina solarium, located in front of the nautical institute in viale Artale Alagona and built this year after five years of absence, with an additional spending commitment of resources from the tourist tax. At the same time, again tomorrow, the solarium and the walkway for disabled people in San Giovanni Li Cuti will also be opened.
