The first cycle of sanitization of the sewerage network across the entire municipal territory has been completed

As per tradition, with the approach of the hot season, the sanitization interventions of the sewerage networks carried out by Acquedotto Pugliese are intensified. In recent days, the first cycle, scheduled for this period of the year, has concluded in the municipality of Taranto. The operations, carried out by AQP as part of the network management and maintenance service (approximately 320 km), are expected to be accompanied by similar activities carried out by the municipality on the directly managed networks. All this within the framework of the collaboration agreement aimed at optimizing sanitation services, which include deblattization, rodent control and disinfestation interventions.

“With the interventions carried out by Acquedotto Pugliese we intend to combat, in particular, the proliferation of cockroaches, which in this period are causing discomfort for citizens who spend more time outdoors. An activity planned and carried out in time, according to a consolidated practice, which significantly reduces the presence of these insects for the benefit of citizens residing in all neighborhoods of the city”, declared Lucio Lonoce, board member of Acquedotto Pugliese during a inspection in the alleys of the historic center of Taranto. This first sanitization cycle will be followed by others over the summer, with the next one scheduled for July 15th. A further testimony to Acquedotto Pugliese’s attention and commitment to guaranteeing the well-being and safety of citizens.
