The Parkinson Insubria Association – Novara – ODV represents an important support for those living with Parkinson’s Disease and their families, offering services aimed at improving the quality of life and alleviating the inconveniences linked to the pathology.
The activities offered to the sick
Various physical activity courses are offered, conducted twice a week by specialized instructors and are designed to promote the physical and mental well-being of participants.
Furthermore, they provide physiotherapists who offer personalized support directly at home, guaranteeing treatment tailored to individual needs.
They also organize group meetings with psychotherapists, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment where people can share their experiences, find emotional comfort and learn strategies to face daily challenges with more resilience.
Collaborations and support
Their close collaboration with doctors, neurologists and physiatrists of the Novara hospitals ensures a complete and multidisciplinary approach to the management of the disease.
The Association offers all its support to accompany anyone facing the difficult path of Parkinson’s Disease, offering not only practical support, but also a precious sense of community and belonging.
New management, new challenges
Recently the Association renewed its Board of Directors, electing as President Tommaso Vitarelli, a 33-year-old engineer who has immediately demonstrated, in addition to profound gratitude to those who elected him, seriousness, dedication and commitment to the role he will take on cover and the challenges that will have to be faced to increasingly improve this support service for vulnerable people. “I am aware that the years that have just passed have not been easy years, nevertheless we inherit a very active Association, which includes a good number of members, various activities and important services dedicated to our members. We therefore have the duty to carry out this mission as best we can and, over time, try to implement it, in order to be able to satisfy the needs and requirements of all our patients.” – declares the new President.
The vision of President Vitarelli
“I believe that our Association must work in synergy with all the local entities that share our values and objectives. Furthermore, it will be fundamental to collaborate with professionals who treat Parkinson’s disease, with hospitals and private facilities that provide healthcare services, in order to be able to help the greatest number of people.”
Three objectives
Three objectives that we want to pursue together with the Council: The first is to continue to guarantee all members the important activities that they have managed to offer up to now, which are essential to give them support in daily life, namely adapted gymnastics and physiotherapy. delivered to your home, which are offered at a controlled price thanks to the contribution of our Association. The second objective, perhaps the most ambitious, concerns the development of a network of collaborations with local bodies and associations, in order to make the Association grow and become a point of reference for all the people who today find themselves fighting against Parkinson’s disease in the province of Novara. The third objective concerns, however, the diversification of activities and the introduction of new therapies that can benefit people and their caregivers.
A new enhanced program
A cutting-edge and multidisciplinary program developed in synergy and in support of what is offered by the National Health System in specialized rehabilitation centers. From September they plan to activate and introduce dance therapy, music therapy and group meetings with psychotherapists in person, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment where people can share their experiences, find emotional comfort and learn strategies to face daily challenges with more resilience.
