While waiting for news from the market and, above all, on corporate developments, the summer of Pescara Calcio is slowly starting to take shape. There is just over a month left until the official start of the season with the summer training camp and, after a year away, the Delfino is ready to embrace Palena again. The biancazzurro association has in fact decided to return to the mountain center for summer training after last year the troop, at the time led by Zeman, worked at the headquarters after the experience in Canada was canceled at the last minute and that Palena, very popular , in the meantime it had been “occupied” by other clubs, including Avellino. The Irpinia team had a wonderful time in Palena, so much so that they would have liked to confirm their presence in 2024 too, but will be forced to change location and will probably opt for Fiuggi given that they have received notification that the Palenese facilities are occupied. Therefore, the 2024 altitude retreat of the Pescara team will once again be in Palena, a historic location because, except for 2023 as mentioned, since the time of Oddo (2015) the mountain center in the province of Chieti at 767 meters above sea level has seen seasons were born with Zeman, Pillon, Zauri and Auteri and Colombo on the bench. A couple of friendlies are expected in Palena, as per tradition (probably a selection of local amateurs and one between Delfino Flacco and Notaresco, often sparring partners of the biancazzurri) but the dates and calendar of the biancazzurri’s stay in Palena will be officially communicated later by the D’Annunzio club . Some time ago, president Daniele Sebastiani had hypothesized an international level test, which however would be held in the Adriatic upon his return to headquarters. Pescara will certainly play a friendly match on August 12th at the Dei Marsi in Avezzano which will coincide with the official presentation of the new green and whites, who could have some promising youngsters from the Pescara academy on loan.
