The fourth year of the ministerial “Biomedical Curvature” course activated at the Nolfi Apolloni classical high school in Fano has ended. This is a path planned in collaboration between the Ministry and the Order and doctors and activated in some Italian classical and scientific high schools (starting from the third year of the course).
In our province, the path is now active in three high schools: the classical Nolfi Apolloni of Fano, the scientific Marconi of Pesaro, the scientific Laurana Baldi of Urbino. Students who opt for this path add to the ordinary hours additional theoretical and practical hours of human biology, anatomy, as well as practical exercises also conducted at public health facilities in the area. The lessons are held by school staff and doctors from the public health service identified by the provincial medical association (for the different medical specialties): Dr. Amico Donatella, Battistini Paolo, Brunori Marino, Conti Cristina, Delgaiso Giovanni, Diotallevi Armando, Kulurianu Hrissanthi, Latini Gino, Logullo Francesco, Memé Luca, Pellegrini Giacomo, Scarcelli Antonella, Valeri Fabrizio.
Students periodically take tests prepared by the Ministry. Naturally, the course is particularly aimed at those students who are thinking about their possible direction of university studies in the medical-health field. Indeed, the draft reform for access to the Faculty of Medicine gives a particular score to those who come from this type of path.
In recent days the director of the Nolfi Apolloni high school, Samuele Giombi, held a closing moment of the annual journey together with the doctors who collaborated and the internal coordinating teachers, Patrizia Lupo and Donatella Marchionni (see photo). Both the doctors and the high school management said they were very satisfied with the process and its results, having also received appreciation from the students. The journey continues in the coming years.
