“We brave people, opposition against everything” – Il Tempo

Exactly six days after fifty years of life, the initiatives with which we celebrate the first half century of Il Giornale continue. In the large private event held at the Portrait in Milan, the director Alessandro Sallusti introduced the event and led the conversation with Giorgia Meloni, fresh from new successes and confirmations. “In 20 months of government we have made more reforms than have been made in years and years, and they have been courageous reforms. But we have an opposition that is against changing anything. Italians must choose a side. In Italy not all things go well, when they go bad you have to take responsibility for changing”, the prime minister said proudly.

Then the leader of the Fratelli d’Italia commented on the G7 which has just ended: “Here we engage in controversy even when others compliment us because we are used to this, all the others complimented us for one of the most successful G7s of history,” he said. Regarding the European elections, the prime minister said she was satisfied: “I am proud of the majority result. I also complimented Tajani and Salvini for the results of FI and Lega. This is proof that the center-right can grow together” .

“Whoever will hold the top positions” in Europe “everyone knows what role will be played by Italy, the founder and third largest economy in Europe, with the most solid government of all”, or “a role of the highest rank that I intend to claim”, assured Meloni in conversation with the director of Il Giornale. “The signal from the citizens is clear: we must move forward with even greater determination. Italians must choose a side. I am not here to survive, neither I nor Matteo nor Antonio. We are here to change Italy”, he added .
