The Sardinia Cup Water Polo will be presented in Alghero on July 1st 2024
Little can still be seen inside the construction site, but the efforts of the Alghero municipality are notable to return a dream outdoor swimming pool to the public, thanks also to the expansion of seating which will reach nine hundred. Very justified capacity because from 4 to 6 July 2024 the Italian vice world champions will sink their limbs into a competition that is making Catalan water polo enthusiasts and others talk so much.
It’s easy to imagine wild cheering during the three magical nights at Maria Pia (free entry), with Alessandro Campagna’s Settebello wanting to get rid of the last waste before embarking on the journey to the Paris Olympics. And the tests, as we know, will be probative because renowned national teams such as Spain, Croatia and Greece will be seen at work.
