A soap opera that still hasn’t found a solution. After the confirmation of Cristiano Protti, in the role of technical manager of the red and white first team, the choice of the coach to whom to entrust the task of leading the Galletti for the 2024-25 season has not yet been made. There are several names circulating in this regard but, according to what transpires from the offices in Viale Roma, the fateful die has not yet been cast.
Having excluded Stefano Protti from the start, who his cousin Cristiano would have looked upon favorably after the many profitable seasons with Sammaurese, the attention of the red and white club was initially focused on the young Stefano Cassani: the coach who, at the helm of his Victor San Marino, had stolen the valid ticket for the playoffs from the cockerels (thanks to the exclusion of Pistoiese from the championship). After a long chat with the red and white club, the coach however accepted the proposals of the former Forlì boss Sandro Cangini and will go to Lentigione: all that is missing is the official announcement which will arrive on 1st July.
At that point, during the last week, the candidacy of Alessandro Miramari had gained strength: the emerging coach of Corticella who, after the victory of the championship of Excellence, led the Bologna club twice in a row to the playoffs of group D of the fourth series, snatching 12 points from the Galletti in the four matches played. The coach from Bologna, however, has kindly declined Forlì’s advances and, in recent days, is evaluating the offers of Cjarlins Muzane, a club from the municipality of Carlino, in the province of Udine, recently relegated to Eccellenza from group C of series D which boasts particularly ambitious goals. The Friulian club is evaluating the possibility of repechage but is intent on signing the Bolognese coach even in the opposite case.
The new ownership of Ravenna has also attracted the attention of Miramari in the last few hours and, apparently, after the disputed second place behind newly promoted Carpi in Serie C, could change the leadership of the first team. In these days, in this regard, the expert coach Massimo Gadda will meet the club’s managers and, in the event of no white smoke, Miramari could enter the sights of the Giallorossi club.
So in Forlì the (re)candidacy of Mauro Antonioli is back on the agenda, well seen by the fans at the Morgagni stadium after the good season he just played as a replacement (he has led the Galletti since the 4th first leg). The red and white club is currently considering re-proposing the pairing of Cristiano Protti, behind the desk, and Mauro Antonioli on the bench for 2024-25. The decision is expected within next week.
