The non-competitive cycling event Varese Van Vlaanderen was presented today at the Chamber of Commerce, scheduled for Sunday 16 June starting from Cittiglio. A great cycling event in the province of Varese, in its fourth edition, which will see runners practicing non-competitive cycling activities at the start. The event is organized by the Orinese Cycling Society.
There will be four routes available to those who want to participate: the Randonnée, routes of 105 and 81 kilometers where the so-called walls will be climbed, 21 for the 105, and 16 for the 81. Then there will be the Gravel route, of 61 kilometres, almost entirely on dirt road, and the 62 kilometer route, more affordable for everyone and valid as the fourth National Panathletic Cycling Rally, open to all participants.
The event is organized by the Orinese Cycling Society.
«We hold a cycling event and try to reproduce the tour of Flanders in Varese – explains the organizer Sergio Gianoli – So there will be routes that retrace the climbs. We will leave in absolute tranquility and stop to admire the beautiful places in the area».
«In the first part there will be passages that lead to Orino, then, you will pass from Campo dei Fiori to Valcuvia and arrive, again, in Cittiglio – continues Gianoli – At each start of the climb the length, average and maximum gradient will be indicated , as well as signs indicating the route and refreshment points. For the first time, there will also be refreshment points for celiac cyclists».
Furthermore, on Sunday 16 June, again in Piazza Alfredo Binda in Cittiglio, it will be possible to visit the exhibition of vintage bicycles and jerseys.
As regards the event, you can register on Saturday 15 June from 2pm to 6pm at FeSta Park Cittiglio, in Piazza Alfredo Binda in Cittiglio, and on Sunday 16 June, again in Piazza Alfredo Binda, from 7am, and also online via the website www.varesevanvlaarenden.it.
The rally is scheduled from 7.30 in Piazza Alfredo Binda, where the cycling event will start in small groups from 7.30 to 9.
The fee to participate is 15 euros, with the race package guaranteed for the first 300 registered participants.
The race pack contains cantuccini, a cloth for glasses, a cap with visor, a sticker, a water bottle, a pair of socks, supplements, a neck warmer, a pack of bicycle oil, a phone holder, samples of creams for cyclists, a bracelet and a badge holder, all contained in the bag.
«Upon arrival, all participants will be given a certificate of participation and a mug of beer» concludes Sergio Gianoli.
But that’s not all: the fourth National Panathletic Cycling Rally is also scheduled for Sunday 16 June. Organized by Panathlon Varese, with the technical organization Società Ciclistica Orinese, the meeting will be open to all. Meeting from 9am in Piazza Alfredo Binda, in Cittiglio. The route will be approximately 50 kilometers. Membership fee of 15 euros and all participants will be given a goody bag.
