The mayor of Latina Matilde Celentano, this morning, on the sidelines of the committee for public order and safety requested following the serious news events that have occurred in the city in recent days, declared the following:
““I thank the prefect Maurizio Falco, and the provincial commanders of the police forces, for the timely response to the need for urban security. The meeting of the committee for public order and safety, which I requested following the latest serious events of news events that have occurred in our city in recent days, concluded with the commitment to set up targeted inter-force services, aimed at preventing the onset of crimes.
I am reassured by the fact that the episodes discussed today, from what emerged during the same meeting, are completely disconnected and attributable to personal disagreements.
The Municipality of Latina ensures the presence of Local Police patrols at the joint services arranged with today’s meeting, also for the purposes of a safe nightlife. In fact, the Local Police project is active, according to which the scheduling of activities until one in the morning aimed at protecting urban security, protecting the territory, combating illegal trade and controlling the seafront of Latin. This will allow the participation of our agents in joint services, beyond the usual working hours. Furthermore, all procedures aimed at strengthening the current video surveillance system in the municipal area of Latina will be activated”.
