Pilgrimage seminars from Campania in Pozzano – Archdiocese of Sorrento

On May 31st, the day of the feast of the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the three major seminaries of Campania: Capodimonte, Posillipo and Salerno, met in the diocese to conclude the month of May together with the usual pilgrimage to a Marian sanctuary of Campania.

This time it was our turn! The three seminaries found themselves experiencing the pilgrimage at the Santa Maria di Pozzano sanctuary in Castellammare di Stabia. The pilgrimage itinerary began from the Co-Cathedral of Castellammare, where we were welcomed by the parish priest Don Antonio De Simone who described the church historically and artistically. Then we all walked together to Pozzano, and along the way we prayed the Holy Rosary. It was a good sign for the city.

Arriving in Pozzano, welcomed by the rector Father Federico, we experienced a moment of catechesis on popular devotion to Mary and how it developed in the sanctuary of Pozzano. It all ended with the Eucharistic Celebration presided over by our Bishop Francesco.

It was a beautiful moment of joy and celebration for the pilgrimage experienced but also for the meeting together of the three Campanian seminaries. We found ourselves as the Church and in experiencing the Church, in unity, looking and learning precisely from Mary who is Mother of the Church, to live in unity.
