Viterbo – The exhibition “Praise to women: nudes and portraits”

Viterbo – We receive and publish – The solo exhibition of maestro Sandro Trotti with his “Eulogy to women: nudes and portraits”, set up in the elegant Palazzo degli Alessandri (medieval district of San Pellegrino) in Viterbo, will be extended until Sunday 9 June, with the patronage of the presidency of the Province of Viterbo.

A contemporary art exhibition organized in collaboration with the Chigi galleries and the new Artemiro gallery located in Viterbo in via Saffi, where the artist’s works will be exhibited throughout the month of June.

This exhibition, the first held in Viterbo, aroused much interest among visitors, but also among the numerous artists who in the past met Sandro Trotti when he was a professor of painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome, before his time abroad as a painter and teacher, particularly in China, where he is considered the best witness of Italian culture in the East.

His exact, confident, hesitation-free technique does not prevent him from ranging between the material scream of color and the dreamlike vigor of the subject, capable of suggesting more than revealing all his visceral love for life.

The exhibition catalog bears the authoritative signature of Claudio Strinati, the author of the preface is Gian Marco Merlani, who has the merit of having organized the exhibition and invited the master and the art historian Barbara Aniello, author of an iconographic and stylistic reading of his work.

The free entry exhibition can be visited every day from 4pm to 7.30pm, Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 12.30pm and from 4pm to 7.30pm.
