“For the +Ferrara in Europa-Psi municipal list we had a manifesto printed that speaks. Contains the photo of Marco Pannella shaking hands with Sandro Pertini”. This is said by Mario Zamorani, leader of +Ferrara in Europe-Psi, who speaks of “a synthesis of the best radical and socialist history”.

These are, he continues, “two parties which, together, have perhaps characterized the best part of the recent history of our politics; which have made our country more European and more secular, less provincial, more modern and free: continuous innovation. Let’s just think about divorce and abortion, conscientious objection, voting for eighteen-year-olds, the new family law. For the radicals we also examine non-violence, referendums and anti-prohibitionism.”

In short, “Pannella and Pertini are not only figures of a recent past of high and noble politics, they are also, for us, emblems of prepared and competent people, who study and fight for their ideals, capable of being in tune with society and the feelings of individual citizens. This is the role that this list intends to play in our city and for our city, despite the presence, everywhere, of a short-term policy incapable of thinking and designing a better future”.

And the +Ferrara in Europa-PSRI group says it is here “to do it, in support of the mayoral candidate Anna Zonari”, because “Ferrara deserves better than what current events seem to offer”.

“Proudly leading the list – concludes Zamorani – of +Ferrara in Europe-PSI, I intend to bring back politics, dialogue and discussion, respect for everyone, even for adversaries, for the good of citizens; the logic of ‘whoever is not with me is my enemy’ and of the ‘wall against wall’ can and must end.”
