During a recent interview with “NAPOLI MAGAZINE LIVE” on Radio Punto Zero, the former Napoli and Juventus defender, Ciro Ferrara, shared his reflections on charitable initiatives and the developments of the Neapolitan team.

Ferrara spoke enthusiastically about the “Summer Charity Party 2024” organized by the Cannavaro-Ferrara Foundation, a charitable initiative that is held every year in two separate events. “It’s a time to reunite with friends and supporters. I thank all those who are close to us, but in reality they are close to the boys of Naples. We want to offer opportunities to at-risk minors in our city,” explained Ferrara.

He then recounted a significant episode linked to the donation of an ambulance: “In Ischia two gentlemen thanked me because their son was saved thanks to this ambulance. These are the things that make us move forward with joy and confidence.”

Moving on to the football topic, Ferrara did not mince words to describe Napoli’s last season, calling it “to forget”. However, he highlighted that the team is in the process of rebuilding, signaling a period of transition for the club.

One of the hottest topics of the interview was the possible arrival of Antonio Conte on the Napoli bench. Ferrara denied the rumors about the coach’s presence in the city, labeling them as “fake news”, but confirmed that the agreement is almost concluded: “I think we are now at the details for his arrival in blue. It doesn’t matter whether it’s today or tomorrow. This deal will go through. I imagine the fans’ expectations, but the announcement will certainly come in the next few days, there is no rush.”

In conclusion, the former footballer also revealed that he had discussed Napoli with Conte in recent months, but without official confirmation of a negotiation: “Saying no would not be correct, we talked about Napoli, but he never told me that he had signed or that there was an actual negotiation. We’re not in touch at the moment, I don’t want to cause him problems. It’s right that he says so when the time comes.”
