Grosseto – They increase state funds intended for support from the newsstands. Thanks to the requests of the commissioner of the national union Snag-Confcommercio, Giovanni Da Pozzo, in recent days the Government has implemented the fund intended for the 2023 newsstand bonus with the resources that had not been spent in 2022 and equal to a total of 10,718,000.00 euros . By doing so it will be possible to give an answer to a wider audience of qualified people.
“The Undersecretary with responsibility for Publishing, Alberto Barachini, meeting a need repeatedly reported by the trade associations of newsstands in recent months, has arranged for this integration of resources, which has become indispensable given the high number of requests received – states the commissioner Da Pozzo -. These sums will be allocated to the two bonuses envisaged by the extraordinary fund for the year 2023 for the support of newsstands and should therefore allow the full disbursement of the 2023 newsstand bonus, the one envisaged on a flat-rate basis of 2 thousand euros (3 thousand euros for newsstands Internal areas) and at the same time the percentage of distribution of the contribution for expenses incurred by newsstands regarding (Imu, Tasi, Tari etc.) should increase. I feel obliged to clarify – concludes Da Pozzo – that this important result must be directly linked to the activity of the previous SNAG Bodies and in particular of the Managers who dedicated themselves to institutional relations with the Government. I confirm that, in the context of the commissioner’s management which I hope will be particularly short, I intend to continue in this direction by trying to obtain confirmation of these forms of support also for 2025″.

Even in the province of Grosseto, newsstands are experiencing a period of great and complex difficulties; knowing that we can count on help, even if small and certainly not enough to solve the problems, still helps us to push away the thought of closure. At least for now”.
“In the last months – explains Gabriella Orlando, director of Confcommercio Grosseto – our offices have submitted numerous applications for the ‘Newsstand Bonus 2023’, and as soon as the Government publishes the financing decrees we will contact every single newsagent who has turned to us for this important practice.
