The Aula Magna of the “Youth Center” of the Diocese of Avellino hosted a conference organized by the Provincial Command of the Carabinieri of Avellino, focused on the theme “The fight against predatory crime and interlocution with the Judicial Authority”.

The event saw the participation of important institutional and judicial figures. Present were the Prefect of Avellino Dr. Rossana Riflesso and the Prosecutor of the Republic of Benevento Dr. Aldo Policastro, received by the Provincial Commander, Colonel Domenico Albanese, who opened the conference.

Among the speakers, the Deputy Prosecutor at the Court of Avellino, Dr. Francesco Raffaele (assisted by Dr. Maria Cristina Gerosolima, Official in Charge of Crime News Offices, and by Dr. Alberto Spagnuolo, Judicial Assistant), Dr. Stefania Bianco, Deputy Prosecutor at the Court of Benevento, and Lt. Col. Amedeo Consales, Commander of the Operations Department of the Carabinieri of Avellino.

The conference represents the first of a series of meetings scheduled between the Carabinieri and the Judicial Authorities, aimed at outlining effective strategies for combating predatory crimes, with particular attention to residential burglaries. This type of crime has a significant impact on citizens’ perception of safety and its prevention is a priority for law enforcement.

During the meeting, the importance of collaboration and discussion between the various competent authorities was underlined to ensure timely and coordinated interventions. The objective is to create a solid and well-organised network that can deal more effectively with the phenomenon of predatory crime, while ensuring safety and tranquility for citizens.

The Commanders of the 7 Companies and the 67 dependent Stations took part in the event, as well as the Officers and staff of the Carabinieri Forestry Group of Avellino, under the command of Col. Fernando Sileo, with its 15 Forestry Units, and of the Carabinieri Inspectorate Unit of Work.

This broad participation testifies to the collective commitment of the Carabinieri of the Provincial Command of Avellino in fighting crime and protecting Irpinia.

The initiative marks an important step towards an increasingly close and profitable collaboration between the Carabinieri and the Judicial Authority, aimed at guaranteeing a prompt and effective response to crime, thus strengthening citizens’ trust in the institutions.
