Savona, great success for Orientamenti Summer, Scajola and Di Padova: “Helping young people in building their future is a priority”

Savona. Great success for the third stage of Orientamenti Summer in the main hall of the Savona university campus. Over 400 participants in the event created by the Liguria Region to support children in choosing the post-middle school training path. The appointment provided a series of useful information, from personal aptitudes to the focus on school offerings and the world of work, to arrive at an informed decision. In total, in the nine stages planned throughout Liguria, over 1750 people have already signed up for the initiative.

The regional councilor for Training and Orientation organized the appointment and the Ligurian tour Marco Scajola who states: “A huge success with a room filled with over 400 people including children and parents. These numbers and the attention shown by the participants best demonstrate the quality of the proposed event. We have provided, free of charge, a general overview of the higher education offering in the province of Savona in a streamlined and effective manner. We are crossing, symbolically, our entire hinterland region with the aim of helping as many people as possible. Orientations is a continuously growing container that never stops – adds Scajola -. This school year we have been constantly close to children and their parents with events and webinars that have involved thousands of people. The results we are achieving, stage after stage, with Orientamenti Summer are further amplifying the excellent work done to date. We have 1,750 registered participants in the nine stages, but between now and July 11th, when we conclude our tour in Calizzano in the Savona hinterland, we aim to exceed 2,000 attendees”.

“For the Municipality of Savona, providing support to young people and families in building their future is a priority: this is why we are happy with the new orientation format which has strengthened the local meetings held during the year so that orientation lasts 365 days” , comments the deputy mayor of Savona Elisa Di Padova.

“The positive participation today by students and families confirms the need for support in the choices that children must make in moments of transition: as the Municipality of Savona we collaborate wholeheartedly with Orientamenti on various occasions during the year and we are investing in this direction with the new OrientaRagazzi projects, which will be held in November and December at Priamar and the Savona città dell’Educazione project which will directly involve schools and students in the next school year”, concludes Di Padova.

Students and parents will be able to find useful material on the reference website: www.orientamenti.regione.liguria.it to delve deeper into what was discussed during the meeting. At the same address it is possible to book for the next stages of Summer Orientations starting from the one in Pieve di Teco scheduled for Tuesday 25 June, at 6 pm, in the Council Room of the Municipality.
In the province of Savona, in addition to today’s one, a second appointment is scheduled for July 11th in Calizzano at 6 pm.
