The premises in Via dell’Acate, in Vittoria, where the first Hub Community House in the Iblea province will be built within a year were delivered this morning in the presence of the strategic management of the ASP and the successful company. The intervention is among those envisaged by the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR) and will benefit from funding of 1 million and 176 thousand euros.
The area affected by the redevelopment work is approximately 2000 square meters, and is spread over two levels, plus a basement and the roof. The work will focus mainly on the first floor, where the rooms of the “primary care” area will be located: two family nurses’ clinics, two pediatric clinics, two general medicine clinics, plus the doctors’ and nurses’ rooms, the reception and waiting area, the changing rooms divided by gender with independent toilets and the toilets for the public. A third access to the building will be added on the ground floor. A new false ceiling and internal fixtures will be installed, while as regards the roof, the installation of new insulation and waterproofing is planned, as well as a ceramic floor.
At the delivery of the keys to the Pizzarotti & C. Company, this morning, among others were the General Director of the ASP of Ragusa, Dr. Giuseppe Drago, the Mayor of the City of Vittoria, Hon. Francesco Aiello, and Senator Salvatore Sallemi. “The building will be completed by June 2025, ahead of the deadline set by the PNRR for 2026 – says Director Drago -. I thank the winning company for the spirit of collaboration and for allowing us to divide the work into two phases, without creating disruptions to citizens or using resources for the rental of alternative premises. A mandatory mention goes to Dr. Carmela La Terra, as director of the Vittoria Health District, Dr. Pasquale Amendolagine, director of the company’s technical service, and engineer Aldo La Rosa, as RUP, for having facilitated the process”.
The services located on the ground floor, namely the Patient Registry Office, the Prescription Control Office and the Diabetology Centre, have been temporarily transferred to pavilion “C” of the “Guzzardi” hospital in Vittoria. The District Management, the Home Care Operational Unit and the Single Access Point (PUA), while waiting for the work on the first floor to be completed, remain allocated on the ground floor of the building in question. The Community Houses will become the central node of the network of territorial services, in particular those aimed at patients suffering from chronic pathologies.
