Collaboration Agreements Signed between the University for Foreigners of Perugia and the Order of Engineers and Architects

On 3 June 2024, the University for Foreigners of Perugia and the Order of Engineers and Architects of the Province of Perugia signed two important collaboration agreements. These agreements aim to strengthen the interaction between the academic and professional worlds, promoting growth and innovation in the Umbrian territory.

The agreement was signed in the presence of the Rector of the University for Foreigners of Perugia, Prof. Valerio De Cesaris, of the President of the Order of Architects, Marco Petrini Elce, of the Vice President of the Order of Engineers of the Province of Perugia, Antonella Badolato , and of Prof. Francesco Asdrubali, delegate for university buildings at the University for Foreigners of Perugia.

The agreement includes a series of joint initiatives that promote continuous training, scientific research and technology transfer. Among the main objectives is the professional updating of members of the Order through collaborative activities with University Departments, participation in national and international competitive measures, and the organization of seminars, internships and internships for students.

The agreement, lasting five years, provides for the possibility of renewing the collaboration and extending it to further areas of activity. Among the planned initiatives, the composition of study and research groups, the publication of the results of joint activities, the academic and professional training of the University’s students, through seminars, internships and internships, and participation in calls for access to national and European funds intended for scientific research.

Prof. Francesco Asdrubali of the University for Foreigners of Perugia underlined how this collaboration represents a significant step towards consolidating the University’s role as an important center for research and training. He highlighted the importance of these agreements for consolidating the University’s relationship with the Orders and Bodies operating in the Umbria region.

The President of the Order of Architects, Marco Petrini Elce, underlined the importance of this agreement from both a cultural and practical point of view. He highlighted the urgency of concrete actions to face new challenges from different perspectives.

The Vice President of the Order of Engineers of the Province of Perugia, Antonella Badolato, expressed satisfaction with the agreement reached, underlining the importance of creating synergies between academic and professional institutions to face the challenges of technological innovation and sustainability.

With this agreement, the University for Foreigners of Perugia, the Order of Engineers and Architects of the Province of Perugia undertake to strengthen the link between education and profession, creating an environment conducive to the development of the knowledge and technical skills necessary to address the challenges of the labor market. The parties agreed to establish a technical-scientific commission, composed of both institutions, to monitor the implementation of the projects resulting from the agreement and ensure compliance with the set objectives.
