The 6 shows that will be staged at the Teatro dei Marsi, starting tomorrow, were presented last Friday. They are the creative fruit of an artistic, cultural and human journey that began at the beginning of the year, under the coordination of the “Nuovo Teatro Parioli” in Rome. Di Berardino: “Our boys will be able to give us real emotions.”
6 shows all different, different ages compared and the creative ideas that learn to know each other: listening to the words of enthusiasm pronounced, last Friday, at the press conference, by the student-actors who will go on stage at the Teatro dei Marsi starting from tomorrow, June 4th, the general impression was that of having scored with the strength of emotions. Liveliness, anticipation, disbelief, desire to test oneself, joy and awareness: these were the feelings that filled the conference room of the Municipality, in the presence of the deputy mayor, Domenico Di Berardino, with responsibility for school policies, of the president of the municipal council, Fabrizio Ridolfi and the vice-president of the Carispaq Foundation, Pierluigi Panunzi. In the room, all the students from primary and secondary schools in the municipal area, who said yes to an absolute novelty for Abruzzo. The IC Corradini-Pomilio, the IC Mazzini-Fermi, the IC Vivenza-Giovanni XXIII, the “Majorana” secondary school institute, the “Torlonia-Bellisario” IIS, the Institute of “Galileo Galilei” Higher Education, the “Arrigo Serpieri” Higher Education Institute and the “Benedetto Croce” State High School.
“We are celebrating the culmination of a beautiful project, – said the deputy mayor – which has overcome all the difficulties and all the initial uncertainties, acquiring the characteristics of a true experimental “jewel”. The true creators of this wonderful dream, in addition to the children, are the teachers of the various participating schools, who have worked from the first moment to give the theatrical journey an even higher emotional value. Young people are the true custodians of an immense cultural and social wealth.” And on the stage of the Avezzano theatre, children with disabilities and shy children, visually impaired children and children who have learned to grow together will perform with the staging of 6 shows. “I thank the Municipality and the Carispaq Foundation for having firmly believed in this project, which was able to count on precious talents from our territory, such as that of director Marco Verna. – He commented at the press conference: Attilio D’Onofrio, director of the “Benedetto Croce” state high school, lead school – We managed to ensure that the schools became a single teaching community. We hope to maintain this format for many years to come”. With the shows, we will begin from Tuesday 4 June at 11 am, with “Tutti on stage”. In the evening, at 9pm, we will continue with “Cecilia della Musica”. On Wednesday 5 June, however, at 11am, “Matilde, a little girl can!” is scheduled: at 6pm, we will continue with the Pinocchio Adventure. Thursday 6 June, appointment at 11 am with “Il Colpevole” and Friday 7, at 9 pm the grand finale will be held with “The Addams Family, the musical”, presented by Luca Di Nicola. The coordination of the project was entrusted to the professor Mafalda Di Berardino.
Also the director of the Parioli Theatre, Michele Gentile, which has been responsible for the creation of the Prose Season of the Teatro dei Marsi for years, confirmed in conclusion: “We are very happy that this year’s cultural offering concludes with the Festival of Schools: the theater must never remain a empty property, but must continue to be a place of training and social centre; a place that should remain alive every day, with its particular symbiosis between spectator and actor”.
