The mental health center of Ast Ancona participated in the “Sports Festival” in Fabriano

Ancona – The Prevention Department and the Mental Health Center of the Ancona Territorial Health Authority participated in the tenth edition of the Fabriano Sports Festival which was held in the “Regina Margherita” public gardens.
The event took place on the occasion of the National Sports Day established by the Presidency of the Council of Ministers under the direction of CONI and was organized by a promoting committee, sports associations and local authorities with events dedicated to the promotion of all disciplines involved aimed at enhancing the function of sport as a fundamental factor of growth, enrichment of the individual, improvement of the quality of life and empowerment and strengthening of civil society.
The Fabriano event, organized by Avis and the Sports Festival group with over 25 local sports associations, saw the collaboration of the Prevention Department of Ast Ancona and the Mental Health Department. Each local sports association participating in the initiative set up a space where they let the entire population try out their activity: children, adults and elderly people.
The staff of the Ast Ancona Prevention Department was present with a stand where they provided information to the population on correct lifestyles and health promotion on multiple aspects: promoting physical and sporting activity at any age as a tool for physical and psychological well-being and social, emphasizing the educational, training and aggregative value; promote a healthy lifestyle that includes physical activity and correct nutrition; promote the prevention of domestic accidents and road accidents; promote safety in the workplace.
The Prevention Department was also present at the “Heart Walk” on New Year’s Eve, a collateral event of the Sports Festival. The event, with a view to promoting health, included walks along the Giano river with walking groups at 5 different times promoted by Uisp Fabriano.
THE MENTAL HEALTH CENTER PRESENT TO EXPLAIN THE BENEFITS OF MOTOR THERAPY
Operators and users of the Fabriano Mental Health Center (of the Mental Health Department of Ast Ancona) were also present at the event to inform about the importance of physical activity in related subjects also considering the presence of motor therapy activity during the event.
The interaction between the two Prevention and Mental Health Departments consolidates the collaboration and activities envisaged by the Local Integrated Plan in implementation of the Regional Prevention Plan 2020/2025.
