“Just as the illustrious poet Virgil appears in Dante’s Comedy as the symbol of wisdom and authority, so Brigadier Vito Lanotte – from Bisceglie, second from the left in the photo – is considered by all as the supreme “master” and it is a valid point of reference for the new generation of carabinieri”. It is the greeting of colleagues for the last day of service at the Carabinieri Station Headquarters in Trani of Brigadier Chief Lanotte.
“In a speech to his colleagues, Brigadier Lanotte explained how nIt’s not easy to be able to reconcile the passion one has for the work one does and one’s family, I can’t even consider what I have done for so many years as work because I did it with my heart. Helping others, colleagues and others, has been an honor for me”.
Brigadier Chief Lanotte began his adventure in the Army on 11 August 1983, he served at the Carabinieri Station of Torremaggiore (San Severo), at the Bank of Italy in Salerno, he wore the famous Radiomobile shoes before Tricarico and then in Barletta until 1998 when he dedicated 18 years to the Operations Section of the Barletta Company where he obtained numerous assignments and awards.
