A new Lille address
Edgar Suites is setting up shop in Lille for the second time, after opening its first address on Place de la Gare in the centre of Lille in December 2023 with the transformation of the former Faidherbe hotel. This summer, it will be in the Euralille business district – the 3e largest business district in France – 10 minutes walk from the historic center of Lille, where the group is located.
A first mixed-use project of significant scale
The ShAKe is a remarkable real estate complex designed by the architect Philippe Chiambaretta (PCA Stream) on a surface area of 33,500 m², and which constitutes a truly unique ecosystem responding to the new formats of office buildings and new urban lifestyles in the chosen mix: a hybrid place where green spaces, offices & coworking spaces, shops, sports centers, nurseries or even restaurants at the foot of the building and panoramic on the rooftop are combined… and finally, the programming a hotel residence with Edgar Suites !
The objective sought is to pool spaces with a range of service offerings that complement each other.
Edgar Suites is moving to 4e floor of this building, and offers apartments ranging from 30 m² to 75 m², equivalent to 21 hotel rooms. The fully glazed façade lets in sunlight and offers a clear view of the belfry of the town hall, the green spaces and the towers of Euralille.
An urban, warm and colorful decoration.
The decoration project was led by Maxime Benoît, Co-Founder and Artistic Director of Edgar Suites, with a clear vision in mind: to capture the essence of the building’s curves and dynamics and translate them into every detail of the decoration. Unique and tailor-made pieces were therefore designed specifically for this project – the headboards, for example, echo the building’s iconic rounded shape, while the benches and coffee tables, designed by Ligne Roset, harmoniously complete the ensemble.
The artist Flavien de Marigny, whose color palette was chosen to create a bright and welcoming atmosphere, provided the pictorial decoration of the apartments, making each space a place where conviviality reigns. The result: vibrant hues, in shades of orange and yellow that capture the key atmosphere of each apartment.
