Closure of nursery schools in Como, the families committee doesn’t give up: “New town meeting on June 14th, everyone invited”

They said “We won’t stop” and so they do. The “Family-friendly Como” Committee created to oppose the closure of the nursery schools in Via Passeri and Monte Olimpino is organizing a new public event. It does so after the latest decision of the TAR which ruled in favor of the mayor of Como, Alessandro Rapinese (here is the news).

The next appointment is therefore for June 14th, they explain:

The “Como family-friendly” committee intends to support the debate and promote the participation of citizens and families in moments of reflection on the value of the quality of childcare services to build the future of the city of Como.

With this spirit the Committee promotes a second Citizens’ Assembly on the theme “Listening to needs to build the future” as an opportunity to learn more and participate. Friday 14 June at 8.00 pm citizens, families and associations/groups in the area are invited to the great hall of the Ugo Foscolo institute.

During the assembly, with the help of experts and the participation of those present, the topic of needs of children and families as a necessary compass to guide the future of a family-friendly city.

It will also be possible to sign the petition asking not to close the kindergartens in via Passeri and Monte Olimpino.
