The European elections are an appetizer while waiting for the main course, namely the next municipal elections in Reggio Calabria. The weekend before the electoral silence is hot on the banks of the Strait. Doctor Lamberti Castronuovo made his candidacy for mayor official and anticipated some themes (and protagonists) of his political project, not even 24 hours later lifting the veil on the “EsseRCi” association, which sees a group of entrepreneurs and professionals from Reggio take the field .
On these pages, last March 19th we announced the imminent birth of two associations referable to Ninni Tramontana and the trade unionist Rosi Perrone, Lamberti however broke the delay in unsuspecting times, more than a year ago.
Compared to the editor of Rtv, Ninni Tramontana’s approach and start of the journey is decidedly different. No candidacy for mayor to be announced, an association presented without even a veiled reference to the possibility of it becoming a political secretariat in the future. Which however will happen, with Tramontana ready (barring surprises) to join Massimo Ripepi, Lamberti Castronuovo and the others who will arrive, in the list of next mayoral candidates on the banks of the Strait.
Stefano Poeta, vice president of the newly formed association, describes it as an idea “of a group of professionals who work in the city and love it. Through discussion, we will arrive at the elaboration of thoughts and projects that we will offer to citizens. We are at the nascent stage, we still have to consolidate our reality, a process that will come with time. We are open to dialogue and comparison with all the other containers in the city, a ferment that we consider positive and stimulating”, highlights Poeta.
Salvatore Vermiglio, president of “EsseRCi”, speaks of a “working group that wants to be subsidiary to the city and the metropolitan area, elevating the public debate and trying to find solutions to the problems that exist”.
Compared to other groups and movements in the city, Vermiglio assures: “We will discuss with everyone and we hope it will always be a constructive discussion. Our association is inclusive, we have many professionals and traders within it, maximum participation and sharing. We are creating a dedicated site and will carry out many other initiatives, listening to all the proposals that come to us.”
Ninni Tramontana, for the moment ‘secluded’ within the new association waiting to understand how and when to materialize his candidacy for mayor of Reggio Calabria, said he was extremely satisfied with the success of the event and the great participation, at the Museum Archaeological.
“We don’t want to talk about problems but face them by trying to give our contribution of ideas, because we are in love with Reggio Calabria and the opportunities that our city offers. Today a container of professionals and entrepreneurs has been created who until yesterday perhaps were behind the scenes and now want to make a contribution to the city”, explained Tramontana.
