Turin – Discovering the historic cemeteries, the “Monumental” and beyond: extraordinary visits for a week
This year too, the European Historic Cemeteries Association, of which Turin is part, is dedicating a week to discovering the treasures hidden in our cities. At the Monumentale until Saturday 8 June, numerous initiatives are scheduled organized by AFC Torino Spa (a subsidiary company with the Municipality that manages the cemeteries as the sole shareholder) in network with other cultural entities such as Open House and Archivissima. Three events with free entry. It starts on Saturday 1 June with the two walks at the Monumentale among the nineteenth-century works with an exceptional guide, the architect Luisella Palmieri. The tragic bombing of 13 July 1943 on Turin is the protagonist of the second event: the video created by the students of the Albertina Academy of the “Trinity visual & design” collective in collaboration with AFC, and the National Association of War Victims which will be presented

To close, the meeting with the writer Margherita Oggero on Saturday 8 June at 6pm at the Monumentale, near the Campo della Gloria where over a thousand partisans are buried. (entrance from Corso Regio Parco 80), where a sign language interpreter (LIS) will also be present.
